Kicking her career off in Los Angeles, Courtney Dixon had early success in the digital media space. She has worked with many prominent brands, including (but not limited to): Chick-fil-A, WebMd, Aleve and Axe. One of her first branded documentary gigs came from a Craigslist ad, and ironically, it was through that project that she discovered a love for documentary filmmaking.
Her work has been screened at DOCNYC, SXSW, and Tribeca X. She has won a Gold Telly and a Webby for Best Branded Doc, and her latest piece was a Short of the Week selection, in addition to being named a Vimeo Staff Pick.
Courtney prioritizes the power of the individual voice and applies a creative, stylized approach to all of her work. To her, every project is an opportunity for the audience to empathize with the character while connecting deeply to the story. Courtney is always in pursuit of perfecting her artistic angle and she uses her work to help inspire, raise awareness, and ultimately, leave a lasting impression on her viewers.
When she's not on set, you will likely find her watching a documentary while eating Nutella straight from the jar.
